Do you take my vision insurance?

Yes! We take most types of Vision Insurance. Please call our office, and we will be happy to check your eligibility. Click here to see a list of the insurance plans we take.


How much do an eye exam and glasses cost?

The fees for these vary according to the level of the exam you need, your vision insurance, and what eyewear you select. Exams are from $35 and up. Eyewear varies greatly, but we have a wide range of frames and lenses to fit any budget.


Do you have the kind of Contacts I wear?

We carry, or can order, virtually any type of Contact Lenses on the market. Click here to see a list of contacts we commonly provide. If your contact lens Rx has not expired, you can order your lenses from our office, or on-line through our office. If you do not have a current Rx, we will be happy to examine your eyes and provide one for you.


How often should I have my eyes examined?

We generally recommend comprehensive examinations yearly , but this varies according to your eye health, your age, and your visual requirements. For previous patients, we send a reminder when it is time for your next exam.

Do you check for Cataracts and Glaucoma?

Yes. We routinely check for all types of eye diseases, including Glaucoma and Cataracts. We recommend dilating the eyes at the time of each exam so we can get a better look inside, but we can make arrangements to dilate them at another time if it is not convenient to do it then.


I have astigmatism. Can I wear Contacts?

Yes. We fit astigmatic, or toric, contacts. Even if you have a high astigmatism or have been told you can't wear contacts because of your astigmatism, chances are good that you can be successfully fit. There are many excellent contact lenses available these days. We'd be happy to discuss your options with you during your exam.


My eyes are dry. Is there anything I can do for them?

Yes. Depending on the cause of the dryness, there are treatments available. Dry eyes can be caused by inflammation, age, hormone problems, systematic diseases, and eyelid disorders, among other things. We can prescribe some excellent treatments for dry eye, from lubricating drops to antibiotics to Restasis.
